Who we are
Thomas Lee Photography is run by Thomas Lee, a self-employed photographer based in London, United Kingdom. Thomas Lee is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. Contact: thomasleephotography@outlook.com
What we collect
Enquiry details you send through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, the service and setting you are interested in, shoot location, budget range, preferred date and your message. If you book a commission: contact details, project information, invoices and payment records. Photographs taken during a commission may show identifiable people or premises.
How we use it and why
To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote (steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding). To plan, deliver and invoice a commission (performance of a contract). To keep business and tax records (legal obligation). We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing without your consent.
Photographs and your consent
You have the right to refuse publication of any photograph that shows your face or other personal details. Images in which you or your property can be identified are only shown in our portfolio, website or social media with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; we will then remove them from our website and social media. Clients who provide a shoot location confirm that they have the legal right or permission to use it.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help run this business: Pixieset (website, contact form and client galleries) and Microsoft (Outlook email), and public authorities only where required by law. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on UK adequacy regulations or other safeguards required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months. Client, invoice and payment records: as long as required for tax purposes (at least 5 years after the 31 January Self Assessment deadline for the relevant tax year). Delivered photographs: archive copies are kept so that we can supply replacement files, unless you ask us to delete them.
Cookies
This website is hosted by Pixieset, which uses cookies needed for the site and contact form to work. We have not added analytics or advertising tracking.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email thomasleephotography@outlook.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first; you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
